Pride Events

Cancer impacts everyone, but it doesn’t impact everyone equally. That’s why we are advocating for local, state, and federal public policies that reduce cancer-related disparities and improve health outcomes for the LGBTQ+ communities.

So, we are asking you to help us provide resources and education at your local Pride Events. Learn more below about the issues that face the LGBTQ+ community unequally and how to take action as an ally or a member of the community.

For more than five decades, Pride events have celebrated and recognized the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals have had on history locally, national, and internationally. Festivities, parades, parties, workshops, symposia, concerns, and events are organized to honor and celebrate LGBTQ+ voices and experiences while also highlighting the issues and injustices the community continues to face.
